Amid the madness and hyperbole surrounding the new economy, Dr. Kjell A. Nordström is a guru of the new world of business. In 2009 Thinkers50, the global ranking of management gurus, placed him and his partner Jonas Ridderstrale among the list of most influential thinkers. His research and consulting focus is on the areas of corporate strategy, multinational corporations and globalization. He has served as an advisor/consultant to several large multinationals and to the government of the United Kingdom.
In 2000 the book Funky Business – Talent Makes Capital Dance, which was written by Kjell A. Nordström and his colleague Jonas Ridderstråle, was published. The book, which is described as a “manifesto of what our time requires from business firms and their leaders”, became an international best-seller and has to date been translated into 33 languages. In 2000, both Amazon.co.uk and the webzine Management General rated it as one of the five best business books of the year. Another survey ranked it as the 16th best business book of all time.
In 2003, the follow-up Karaoke Capitalism – Management for Mankind, also written together with Jonas Ridderstråle, was published. The book, which also became an international success, has to date been contracted for publication in 23 languages. In March 2004, Nordström and Ridderstråle appeared on CNN’s program Global Office for an extensive interview on the ideas behind Karaoke Capitalism.
Today, Nordström and Ridderstråle works as professional public speakers in the field of strategic management. The 2005 Thinkers 50, the bi-annual global ranking of management thinkers, ranked Nordström and Ridderstråle at number nine internationally and number one in Europe.

Pedro Martinho / Eurocash. After graduation from ISCTE Lisbon University in the field of Management, he started his professional career in Jeronimo Martins, Portugal, in 1994.
He worked as a Sector Manager at Feira Nova Hypermarket up to 1996. After that he was invited to come to Poland where he worked for Jeronimo Martins from 1997 to 2001. He was promoted to Purchasing Director in Eurocash Cash & Carry and Jumbo hypermarkets. In 2002 he was employed by Oniway Portugal, telecommunication company, as a Sales Director. In March 2003 he decided to come back to Poland and join the Team that had bought out Eurocash Cash & Carry of Jeronimo Martins.
From the beginning he has been a Board Member in Eurocash S.A. and has participated in its development. He has managed such businesses as Eurocash Franchise (Delikatesy Centrum), Eurocash Distribution (former Tradis), Eurocash Convenience.
Currently he is responsible for: Eurocash Gastronomy, e-commerce business Frisco.pl, Sushi to Go company as well as central functions like: Sourcing, Group Marketing, Internal Audit.
MAXIMILIAN MUSSELIUS
Maximilian Musselius is an Evangelist and Futurist for the FMCG retail market, and works in the capacity of OSA DC Strategy and Vision Lead. A graduate of Lomonosov Moscow State University, he easily converses in six languages. In addition, he serves as the Executive Director of Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) Russia.
Maximilian created one of the most successful ECR units in the world, which lead him to take a position as the Co-chairman of ECR Europe. While leading ECR for the last decade, Max developed and implemented EDI technology for the entire industry in his region, launched the Master Data Catalog Initiative, launched OSA platform and organized six annual conferences and seven separate quarterly working groups. CEOs and GMs of trade networks attended his training seminars at Mar-Pro. Also, he developed the standards for best practices for ECR Russia and the FMCG industry.
Since 2008, Maximilian has been grappling with a challenge that specifically plagues Russia’s retail industry: understocking in organized retail, which back then, affected 19% of all product inventory (ECR data). Russia was of the most afflicted countries in the world. In response, Maximilian assembled a working group of ECR members to launch a pilot to work towards a solution.
