On August 9, the MASA Kultūrbārs stage will feature Spiritualité, an original music album by Fred Hormain, performed by the duo Viņš un Viņa (He and She).
This concert program brings together the freedom of improvisation, folk-inspired melodies, and the rhythms of electronic music.
Fred Hormain is a French saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist whose creative style blends elements of jazz, electronic, salsa, and funk. He has performed across Europe, collaborated with artists such as Maceo Parker’s drummer Jamal Thomas, contributed saxophone solos to Laima Vaikule’s album, and often performs under the name Mister Goldhand.
Ilze Lejiņa is one of Latvia’s most prominent saxophonists and violinists, combining an academic background with deep roots in folk music. Having studied in Denmark and France, she has performed with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the Latvian National Opera Orchestra, and the Riga Saxophone Quartet.
