On February 28, MASA jazz club hosts pianist Tuomo Uusitalo and double bassist Juuso Rinta with a chamber duo program. The performance blends original compositions, improvisation, and Nordic jazz aesthetics.
Juuso Rinta is a Helsinki-based jazz bassist and composer whose musical thinking is rooted in the jazz tradition and the exploration of acoustic sound. Tuomo Uusitalo is an award-winning pianist, composer, and arranger with extensive experience in the New York jazz circuit. He has released six albums as a leader and appeared on numerous recordings as a sideman, developing a recognizable, musically mature, and nuanced style.
