TsirkusFolie is an Estonian contemporary circus organisation based in Tallinn, recognised for its contribution to the development of contemporary circus in Estonia through circus education, artistic creation and performance. “InFluency” is performed by young artists from the TsirkusFolie circus studio, who bring their own perspectives and experiences to the stage, creating a work that is both playful and thought-provoking.
Through the language of circus, the performance explores the younger generation’s relationship with today’s information society, reflecting on how curious, surreal and at times overwhelming the world around us can appear.
Unfolding across two parallel worlds, “InFluency” examines the forces that shape contemporary life and affect us all, including its youngest members. In an era of constant connectivity, where reality can sometimes seem stranger than fiction, people risk becoming caught in an endless flow of media and information that is difficult to escape. Yet the need to receive, share and make sense of what surrounds us remains an essential part of being human.
Alongside this, a longing emerges for a world of innocence and imagination – a space of refuge, wonder and emotional balance. But where there is light, there is also shadow. By moving between these two worlds, the young performers search for a fragile equilibrium between reality and fantasy, connection and solitude.
