On July 25, saxophonist Patrīcija Anna Doniņa's sextet will perform the project "PINK FUNK" at the MASA jazz club.
Funk music originated in the 1960s. It is characterized by a pronounced rhythm, groove and energetic sound, which later influenced the development of many popular music genres.
The concert program "PINK FUNK" will feature Patrīcija Anna Doniņa's original compositions and well-known funk pieces. The program will intertwine funk, jazz, disco, groove and dance music influences, dedicating a special place to improvisation, a bright stage image and powerful concert energy.
