On August 23, MASA Kultūrbārs will host a special performance by pianist and vocalist Olinka Mitroshina and saxophonist Deniss Pashkevich. The program features Olinka’s newest original compositions, still unreleased and performed exclusively live at this one-night-only concert in Riga.
Olinka Mitroshina (vocals, piano) is a Latvian-born artist, currently based in Paris. Her musical language has been shaped by classical training in Latvia, the blues scene in New Orleans, and a diverse performance history across Europe and Africa. Her music blends elements of jazz, soul, blues, and minimalism.
Deniss Pashkevich (tenor saxophone) is one of the leading figures in the Baltic jazz scene. As a saxophonist, composer, and educator, he has toured extensively across Europe, Asia, and the United States. His performances are marked by powerful improvisation, refined musical interplay, and deep emotional presence.
