On September 25, the Vanadziņa Trio+ band will perform the program "No Rules Blues" at the jazz club MASA.
The program is based on blues music, created by people with African roots in the cotton fields of Alabama and the swamps of Mississippi, telling about their lives, experiences and freedom in their songs. Blues was not created according to rules or theory at that time - it arose from the need to express what was otherwise impossible to say.
Vanadziņa Trio+ continues this tradition in its own way. Inspired by both early bluesmen and Led Zeppelin, David Bowie and other artists, the band plays blues the way it feels today - without strict genre boundaries and with respect for its roots.
