On July 19, MASA Kultūrbārs will fill with lively summer jazz, blending Latin American rhythms—samba, bossa nova, Afro-Latin grooves—and timeless jazz standards.
Line-up:
Andrey Polovko – Saxophone
Internationally acclaimed tenor saxophonist originally from Saint Petersburg, now based in Riga. Andrey has collaborated with renowned jazz artists such as Sharon Clark, Sharlene Hector, and Johnny Calvin. His playing is known for its powerful, rich tone and virtuosity.
Beāte Meirāne – Double Bass
A graduate from the Jazz Department of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, Beāte performs extensively in various genres and ensembles both locally and internationally.
Svens Vilsons – Guitar
A versatile guitarist and composer, regularly performing alongside prominent Latvian and international musicians. He has participated in numerous festivals and projects, including Saulkrasti Jazz, Birštonas Jazz Festival, and productions by the Latvian National Opera.
