On November 7, the Krists Saržants and Skye Junginger Quintet will perform at the jazz club MASA, presenting material from their upcoming album, Amber — a program that blends jazz, rock, chamber music, and contemporary music.
This international project bridges European and American musical traditions. The program features themes rooted in the jazz tradition alongside lyrical, narrative-driven compositions influenced by European folk and contemporary music. The album’s mood shifts from energetic to introspective, exploring themes of memory, the passage of time, and the beauty that can be found even within sadness.
Joining Krists and Skye are several prominent figures from the Latvian jazz, pop, and rock music scenes.
