On March 13, Latvian singer and composer Monta Tupčijenko, who resides in Germany, will perform at the cultural space MASA with a quintet specially formed for this concert. This will be the artist’s only concert in Latvia this spring.
The program consists mainly of Monta Tupčijenko’s original compositions — lyrical ballads and chamber jazz pieces specially arranged for this ensemble, creating a light, acoustic contemporary jazz sound with an emphasis on clear musical structure, ensemble interplay, dynamic contrast, and each musician’s individual musical language.
Line-up:
Monta Tupčijenko – vocals
Vadims Dmitrijevs – trombone
Andrew Downing – double bass
Ēriks Miezis – vibraphone
Uģis Upenieks – percussion
