On November 14, a quartet of young-generation musicians will perform at the MASA jazz club, inviting the audience to an evening of contemporary jazz and improvisation. The program will feature beloved jazz standards, traditional and modern jazz pieces, as well as original compositions by the musicians themselves—ranging from melancholic ballads to Latin jazz rhythms.
All four musicians are currently studying in the Jazz Music Department at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn. While for Milana Maksimova and Roberts Miezītis the musical journey in Estonia is just beginning—following their studies at a music high school and performance experience in Latvia—Gustavs Saulītis and Vladimirs Todurovs have already appeared on various Estonian stages and participated in musical projects in collaboration with the Jazzkaar festival and the jazz club Philly Joe’s.
Line-up:
Roberts Miezītis — saxophone
Vladimir Todurov (Estonia) — keyboards
Gustavs Saulītis — double bass
Milana Maksimova — drums
