MASSive Jazz Jams is a weekly Tuesday evening event dedicated to jazz improvisation. Continuing the tradition of jam sessions that dates back to the early 20th century, we aim to develop the local jazz scene, strengthen the cultural community, and offer audiences a unique jazz improvisation experience. This format allows musicians to experiment with ideas and forge new musical collaborations. Each evening begins with a performance by the house band at 7:00 PM, followed by an open jam session—an experience that is unique and unrepeatable every single time.
Tonight, a quartet led by saxophonist Andrey Polovko will perform the repertoire of the legendary American fusion group "Steps Ahead." The group’s sound was shaped over many years by the acclaimed American vibraphonist and producer Mike Mainieri.
House band for November 24:
Andrey Polovko – saxophone
Ēriks Miezis – vibraphone
Yurii Natsvlishvili – double bass
Reinis Zariņš – drums
Free admission for jam session participants.
