Event "MASSive Jazz Jam | Tribute to Chick Corea" organizer: MASA studija SIA
On September 8, MASSive Jazz Jam will be dedicated to one of the most important contemporary jazz pianists and composers — Chick Corea.
This evening will be dedicated to the music of Chick Corea and his enormous influence on the development of jazz. The house band will perform Corea's compositions from various stages of his creative path, as well as original works by the performing musicians, in which jazz tradition meets modern sound, improvisation and energetic interplay.
House band 08/09:
Andrey Polovko – saxophone
Madars Kalniņš – piano
Andris Grunte – double bass
Reinis Zariņš – drums
The evening will start with a house band performance at 7:00 PM, followed by a jam session.
Admission for visitors – 15 EUR
Free admission for jam participants.
