MASSive Jazz Jams is a weekly Tuesday evening event dedicated to jazz improvisation. Continuing the tradition of jam sessions that dates back to the early 20th century, we aim to develop the local jazz scene, strengthen our cultural community, and offer audiences a unique jazz improvisation experience. This format allows musicians to experiment with ideas and forge new musical collaborations. Each evening begins with a performance by the house band at 7:00 PM, followed by an open jam session—an experience that is unique and unrepeatable every single time.
Tonight’s improvisation session will be led by Vilnis Kundrāts and will feature a distinctly Latvian jazz atmosphere in honor of the national holidays. The program will include original compositions alongside interpretations of well-known themes from Latvian classical music.
House band for November 17:
Vilnis Kundrāts – saxophone
Artūrs Kutepovs – guitar
Yurii Natsvlishvili – double bass
