Malevich 360°: Film, Exhibition, Lecture
On June 8, 2025, the Forum Cinemas will host an art evening titled "Malevich 360°" — an event that will showcase the work of world-renowned artist Kazimir Malevich through film, visual art, and live discussion.
Program:
15:00 — Screening of the film "Malevich" (2024), dir. Daria Onyshchenko
The film is in Ukrainian with Latvian (Mara Poliakova) and English subtitles.
It presents a profound artistic reflection on the artist's fate, inner struggles, and resistance to the system.
17:00 — Exhibition of Malevich's work reproductions
Visitors will see large-scale reproductions of the artist’s most famous paintings and experience the spirit of the era with themed cosplay inspired by the film.
18:00 — Lecture by Tetiana Filevska
Renowned writer, art critic, and Malevich researcher will reveal the deeper layers of the artist’s work and its cultural impact.
