On February 20, a jazz quartet bringing together musicians from Liepāja will take the stage at MASA.
The program features original compositions by guitarist Marks Jonatans Runds, inspired by the mountain landscapes of Poland and the wide lowlands of Lithuania. Alongside the original music, the concert will include jazz themes from John Coltrane, George Shearing, and other jazz musicians, creating a diverse and balanced program.
The quartet’s sound is defined by strong collective interaction, nuanced dynamics, and a contemporary approach to jazz tradition.
Line-up:
Marks Jonatans Runds — guitar
Andris Žabris — drums
Henrijs Leijs — double bass
Emīls Knubis — saxophone
