"How can a shared memory landscape bring us together in a time when coming together can be in the best case scenario hard?" is the question asked by creative team of "Exercises of (be)longing". On 6th and 7th of November they are giving the audience a chance to participate in a phone call performance.
The authors of the performance are Jānis Balodis, Katrīna Dūka, Barbara Lehtna un Kristina Hudenko. It's co-authors and participants are 20 Latvian citizens. The performance is available in Latvian, English and Russian.
"Exercises of (be)longing" is grounded in real life stories, moments or events when a person has been in the process of finding or not finding a way how to be with people around them. Themes of acceptance and the cost of fitting in are embedded in each story.
Instructions for participating in the performance:
1) While buying the ticket you'll be asked to write down your address to determine which DPD parcel machine would be the best for delivery. Few days before the performance you'll receive a package for the performance (to ensure that you get the package in time you need to be located in Latvia);
2) Few days before the time of the performance you'll receive the package (if not, please contact us - + 371 20119550 );
3) On the day of performance please open the package 15 minutes before the beginning time;
4) In the package you'll find five envelopes. On each of them there will be a phone number. Please call each number in the determined time you'll also find on the envelope!
