On October 16, the band Cita Dimensija – a group of next-generation musicians, will perform at the jazz club MASA, presenting a program featuring jazz fusion, jazz rock, and funk fusion.
Cita Dimensija was formed in 2023, bringing together four students from the jazz departments of the Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Music High School and the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. The ensemble now consists of five young musicians, combining drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, saxophone, and keyboards.
The program will feature jazz fusion, jazz rock, and funk fusion music, as well as compositions and arrangements by well-known artists. Cita Dimensija promises an energetic, musically intense performance that leaves room for improvisation, unexpected musical moments, and free-flowing interplay on stage.
