Festival Pass for Experimental film festival Process will provide an entry to all festival events during 20.-24. March, 2019.
Experimental film festival Process will take place from 20nd to 24th March 2019 in Riga, Latvia. The festival is dedicated to analog cinema, celebrating the physical medium of film in all its personal, adventurous and uncompromising forms. The first of a kind in Baltics, for the third time Process will provide five days of film screenings, expanded cinema performances, lectures, discussions as well as two day workshop on the weekend before the festival on March 16 -17.
This year the festival will focus on themes relating inner and outer limits of space, time, species and senses.
The festival has three open call programmes: On the Question of Senses, selected by Emmanuel Lefrant (FR),On the Encounter of Species, selected by Lāsma Bērtule (LV), On the Time of Things selected by Kim Knowles (UK), and three curated programmes: Baltic Experimental curated by Ieva Balode (LV), Retrospection programme curated by Dāvis Sīmanis (LV) and Jānis Putniņš (LV), film programme of Emmanuel Lefrant (FR) and more.
The festival will take place in LKA National Film School and Kino Bize movie theatre with film screenings, lectures and discussions, as well as other venues around the city for other events.
We welcome the submission of experimental short films where the use of analog film has been part of the filmmaking process.
