On this autumn Friday evening, MASA will be filled with the intimate sound of clarinet, vibraphone and double bass — a rare timbral combination offering rich colors and moods. The trio will perform jazz standards, original compositions and fresh interpretations of well-known songs.

Indriķis Veitners — clarinetist, saxophonist, educator and music historian, founder of the Jazz Department at JVLMA, a key figure in Latvian jazz.

Ēriks Miezis — vibraphonist and composer, graduate of JVLMA and Basel Music Academy, soloist with the Latvian Radio Big Band, composer for Sansusī Festival and the Latvian Song and Dance Celebration.

Andrew Downing — double bassist, cellist and composer from Toronto, active in jazz, contemporary and folk music projects, leader of MELODEON and OTTERVILLE, faculty member at the University of Toronto.
