Event "Art Through Music: Modernism" organizer: MASA studija SIA
On May 30 as part of Riga Art Week at MASA, a contemporary jazz quartet will present a musical reflection on the modernist era, drawing on contrasts, freedom, and experimentation — the hallmarks of artistic movements such as abstractionism, futurism, and impressionism. The program will include both original compositions and reinterpretations that, through the lens of jazz, echo the new art movements explorations of the 19th and 20th centuries in rhythm, texture, and sound.
